WE ARE LOOKING FOR DONORS for Protective Equipment ?
The SVZ Hrastovec accommodates 640 residents, with the care of 480 employees. Currently, no COVID-19 infected person is recorded at our facility, but we acknowledge that we are looking to the future with fear. The problem of lack of protective equipment is present in all Slovenian institutions that care for more vulnerable groups of people.
The issue of protective equipment stocks has been the most urgent topic of Slovenian healthcare in the recent period. As repeatedly emphasized by the competent, special attention should be paid to more vulnerable groups that are more susceptible to infection and recovery. We also want to take care of our employees who will be at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, so protective equipment is actually the basis for their safe and smooth operation. FFP3 protective masks and other protective equipment have been ordered already. We gratefully accepted a donation of 50 meters of fabric to sew protective masks (washing equipment) by ourselves.
The media report that there are problems with the equipment delivery, and every day there are private initiatives to provide the necessary equipment, especially protective masks, which we will also need in our institution.
We are addressing the public and kindly ask you to donate us various protective equipment, such as:
- FFP2 and FFP3 protective masks,
- protective clothing made of tyvec foil,
- surface disinfectant,
- hand sanitizer,
- disposable tyvec foil gowns,
- surgical masks with straps or elastic band,
- safety gloves,
- fabric, washable at 90 ° C (cotton linen or Popelin),
- other material.
